Co-Chair

After years of being involved in climate activism, Andrea joined Broken Spoke in May 25 to apply his work experience to a worthy mission. 

Leveraging more than 10 years in management & strategy in the tech sector, he is keen to support the organisation and the local community in building a more sustainable and fair future for all.

Co-Chair

Kristina first got involved with Broken Spoke in 2023 through Beryl's Night. She initially helped as a volunteer on the Fundraising Circle and joined the Board in 2024, bringing her professional experience as a fundraiser in the education sector to assist the Spoke with all things fundraising including crowdfunding, individual and regular giving, and grant funding. 

As Co-Chair Kristina leads on strategic oversight for the organisation and supports the General Manager in addition to continuing to help with fundraising and community engagement efforts. 

Originally from California, Kristina took up cycling when she moved to Oxford in 2020. She has enjoyed learning more about bicycles and furthering the Spoke's mission of making the Oxford cycling community more inclusive, diverse, and accessible for all!

Secretary

A lifelong cyclist, Tim enjoys most forms of cycling, from commuting to racing. 

He works in engineering, programming, and operations and has spent the last 20 years working in and with factories and workshops in many countries. He predominantly works in operations and finance areas with the board. 

Treasurer

Tom is passionate about cycling, both commuting and with his local club, Abingdon OTCC, and with the Thames Valley section of the Tandem club. 

He has over 10 years’ experience working on and with boards, and in his day job manages a board of 25 volunteers, representing over 250 companies in a medium sized trade association to try to influence government, to promote UK manufacturing. As CEO, he's involved with all elements of corporate governance, as well as strategic and financial planning with the board. 

Tom's keen to use this valuable experience to make a big difference to Broken Spoke as a trustee, particularly in the areas of commercial development, income generation, strategy, HR and financial oversight.

Tom Maull joined the Broken Spoke board after getting involved through the workshop and volunteering with the co-op. He has a long-standing love of bike co-ops and the confidence, independence, and community they build around cycling and repair.

Professionally, Tom works in heavy industry and motorsport decarbonisation as Head of Deployment for Elysia Battery Intelligence, a battery software company. His work spans engineering, product, and commercial delivery.

At Broken Spoke, Tom supports digital infrastructure, strategy, and operations, helping the organisation run smoothly, grow sustainably, and keep removing barriers to cycling and repair across Oxford.
